G racias al conocimiento de nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo, habían logrado escapar de las contaminaciones del mundo, pero volvieron a enredarse en ellas y fueron vencidos, con lo que su estado final fue peor que el primero.

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
