A hora bien, según la ley, los descendientes de Leví, que reciben el sacerdocio, tienen el derecho de tomar los diezmos del pueblo, es decir, de sus propios hermanos, aun cuando éstos sean también descendientes de Abrahán.

The Law made the family of Levi the Jewish religious leaders. The Law said that the religious leaders were to take one-tenth part of everything from their own people.
