U stedes son de su padre el diablo, y quieren cumplir con los deseos de su padre, quien desde el principio ha sido un homicida. No se mantiene en la verdad, porque no hay verdad en él. Cuando habla mentira, habla de lo que le es propio; porque es mentiroso y padre de la mentira.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
