( En efecto, la ira del Señor se encendió contra Israel, y durante cuarenta años los hizo andar errantes por el desierto, hasta que se acabó toda esa generación que hizo lo malo delante del Señor. )

So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel. He made them travel in the desert forty years, until all the people of that day who had sinned in the eyes of the Lord were destroyed.
