D espués Ismael se pasó al bando de los amonitas, y se llevó cautivos a los sobrevivientes que había en Mispá, a las hijas del rey, y a todo el pueblo que Nabuzaradán, el capitán de la guardia, había dejado a cargo de Gedalías hijo de Ajicán.
