C orría el mes primero (es decir, el mes de Nisán) del año duodécimo del rey Asuero, cuando le fue echada a Amán su «pur» (es decir, su suerte) para cada día y para cada mes del año; y la suerte le cayó en el mes duodécimo, que es el mes de Adar.

In the first month -- it the month of Nisan -- in the twelfth year of the king Ahasuerus, hath one caused to fall Pur (that the lot) before Haman, from day to day, and from month to month, the twelfth, it the month of Adar.
