D espués de todo esto, los jefes vinieron a verme y me dijeron: «Ni el pueblo de Israel, ni los sacerdotes ni los levitas, se diferencian en nada de los cananeos, hititas, ferezeos, jebuseos, amonitas, moabitas, egipcios y amorreos, pues incurren en los mismos actos repugnantes.

After these things had been done, the leaders came to me, saying, “The people of Israel and the religious leaders and the Levites have not separated themselves from the people of the lands. They have followed the sinful ways of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.
