H abía en Samaria un profeta del Señor. Se llamaba Obed. Y cuando el ejército iba entrando en Samaria, Obed salió y se enfrentó a ellos, y les dijo: «Tomen en cuenta que el Señor, el Dios de sus padres, ha entregado en manos de ustedes a Judá porque está enojado contra ellos; ¡pero ustedes los han matado con una ira que ha llegado hasta el cielo!

But a prophet of Jehovah was there, whose name was Oded; and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because Jehovah the God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he gave them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reaches up to heaven.
