C uando los sirios vieron que habían sido vencidos por los israelitas, enviaron mensajeros para que vinieran en su ayuda los sirios que estaban al otro lado del Éufrates, y que eran capitaneados por Sofac, general del ejército de Hadad Ezer.

And when the Syrians saw that they were smitten before Israel, they sent ambassadors and drew forth the Syrians that were beyond the river, whose captain was Shophach, the prince of the host of Hadarezer.
