E liseo estaba sentado en su casa, en compañía de los ancianos, cuando el rey envió a él un emisario. Pero antes de que el emisario llegara, Eliseo les dijo a los ancianos: «¿Ya vieron cómo este asesino ha mandado a un hombre a cortarme la cabeza? Fíjense bien, y cuando llegue su emisario, cierren la puerta y no lo dejen entrar. ¡Tras ese hombre se oyen los pasos de su amo!»

And Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him; and the king sent a man unto him. But before the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See ye how this son of a murderer has sent to take away my head? Look, when the messenger comes, shut the door, and hold him fast at the door; is not the sound of his master’s feet behind him?
