T iempo atrás el faraón, es decir, el rey de Egipto, había arrasado la ciudad de Guézer y le había prendido fuego, matando a los cananeos que allí habitaban, y luego se la dio como dote a su hija, la mujer de Salomón.

For Pharaoh, king of Egypt, had gone up and taken Gezer and burnt it with fire and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city and given it for a gift unto his daughter, Solomon’s wife.
