E ntonces Salomón dijo: «Tu misericordia siempre acompañó a tu siervo, mi padre David, porque se condujo delante de ti con sinceridad, y fue un hombre justo y te entregó su corazón. Tú has sido misericordioso con él porque le has concedido que un hijo ocupe su trono, como hoy podemos verlo.
