A hora, toda la familia se ha puesto en mi contra y me insiste: “Tienes que entregar a ese asesino, pues tiene que pagar con su vida la muerte de su hermano.” Si les hago caso, matarán a mi único heredero y, con eso, habrán apagado la última chispa que me queda, y la memoria de mi marido se perderá por no dejar ningún descendiente.»

And, behold, the whole family is risen against thy handmaid, and they said, Deliver him that smote his brother, that we may kill him for the life of his brother whom he slew, and we will destroy the heir also. So they shall quench my coal which is left and shall not leave to my husband neither name nor remainder upon the earth.
