e ntonces los pastores de Gerar contendieron con los pastores de Isaac, pues decían: «Esta agua es nuestra.» Por eso Isaac llamó a ese pozo «Esek», porque habían contendido con él.

The herdsmen of Gerar argued with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” He called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him.
