Ş i a doua zi, sculîndu-se disdedimineaţă, au găsit pe Dagon întins cu faţa la pămînt, înaintea chivotului Domnului; capul lui Dagon şi cele două mîni ale lui erau tăiate pe prag, şi nu -i rămăsese decît trunchiul.

But when they arose early the next morning, behold, Dagon had again fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord, and head and both the palms of his hands were lying cut off on the threshold; only the trunk of Dagon was left him.
