P e cînd vorbea cu ei, iată că Filisteanul din Gat, numit Goliat, a înaintat între cele două oştiri, ieşind afară din şirurile Filistenilor. A rostit aceleaşi cuvinte ca mai înainte, şi David le -a auzit.

And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the ranks of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them.
