A tunci adunarea a trimes împotriva lor douăsprezece mii de ostaşi, dîndu-le porunca aceasta:,, Duceţi-vă, şi treceţi prin ascuţişul săbiei pe locuitorii din Iabes din Galaad, cu femeile şi copiii.
