E i au răspuns lui Iosua, şi au zis:,, Robii tăi au auzit de poruncile date de Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, robului Său Moise, ca să vă dea în mînă toată ţara şi să nimicească dinaintea voastră pe toţi locuitorii ei; şi venirea voastră a băgat mare frică în noi cu privire la viaţa noastră: iată de ce am lucrat aşa.
