O asele lui Iosif, pe cari le aduseseră copiii lui Israel din Egipt, au fost îngropate la Sihem, în partea ţarinei pe care o cumpărase Iacov dela fiii lui Hamor, tatăl lui Sihem, cu o sută de chesita, şi care a ajuns moştenirea fiilor lui Iosif.

The people of Israel brought the bones of Joseph from Egypt. They buried them in Shechem, in the piece of ground Jacob had bought from the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for 100 pieces of money. It became the land of Joseph’s children.
