I air, fiul lui Manase, a luat tot ţinutul Argob pînă la hotarul Gheşuriţilor şi Maacatiţilor, şi a pus numele lui tîrgurilor Basanului, numite şi azi tîrgurile lui Iair.

Jair the son of Manasseh took the whole region of Argob as far as the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and called Bashan after his own name, Havoth-Jair, to this day.)
