I -am pedepsit adesea în toate sinagogile şi îmi dădeam toată silinţa ca să -i fac să hulească. În pornirea mea nebună împotriva lor, îi prigoneam pînă şi în cetăţile străine.

And punishing them oftentimes in all the synagogues, I strove to make them blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto foreign cities.
