A cum, dacă mîna ta sau piciorul tău te face să cazi în păcat, taie-le şi leapădă-le dela tine. Este mai bine pentru tine să intri în viaţă şchiop sau ciung, decît să ai două mîni sau două picioare, şi să fii aruncat în focul vecinic.

Therefore if thy hand or thy foot cause thee to fall, cut them off and cast them from thee; it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into eternal fire.
