C ăci Hesbonul era cetatea lui Sihon, împăratul Amoriţilor. El pornise cu război împotriva împăratului dinainte al Moabului, şi -i luase toată ţara pînă la Arnon.

For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab and taken out of his hand all his land unto Arnon.
