A cesta este un semn de aducere aminte pentru copiii lui Israel, pentru ca niciun străin, care nu este din neamul lui Aaron, să nu se apropie să aducă tămîie înaintea Domnului, şi să nu i se întîmple ca lui Core şi cetei lui, după cum spusese Domnul prin Moise.

To be a memorial to the Israelites, so that no outsider, that is, no one not of the descendants of Aaron, should come near to offer incense before the Lord, lest he become as Korah and as his company, as the Lord said to Eleazar through Moses.
