A scultaţi cuvîntul acesta, juncane din Basan, de pe muntele Samariei, voi cari asupriţi pe cei sărmani, zdrobiţi pe cei lipsiţi, şi ziceţi bărbaţilor voştri:, Daţi-ne să bem!``

Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria, Who oppress the poor, Who crush the needy, Who say to your husbands, “Bring wine, let us drink!”
