Î n anul dintîi al lui Belşaţar, împăratul Babilonului, Daniel a visat un vis şi a avut vedenii în mintea lui, pe cînd era în pat. În urmă a scris visul şi a istorisit lucrurile de căpetenie.

In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
