S pune casei lui Israel:,, Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu: Iată, voi pîngări Locaşul Meu cel sfînt, fala puterii voastre, ce vă e mai scump în ochi, lucrul iubit de voi; şi fiii voştri şi fiicele voastre, pe cari i-aţi lăsat după voi, vor cădea ucişi de sabie.

Speak to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will profane My sanctuary— pride as your strength, the desire of your eyes, and the pity and sympathy of your soul; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind shall fall by the sword.
