T oţi trecătorii bat din palme asupra ta, şuieră şi dau din cap împotriva fiicei Ierusalimului, şi zic:,, Aceasta este cetatea despre care se zicea că este cea mai frumoasă, şi bucuria întregului pămînt?``

All who pass by clap their hands at you. They make fun of you and shake their heads at the people of Jerusalem, saying, “Is this the city which was called perfect in beauty, the joy of all the earth?”
