I ată, vrăjmaşul se suie ca un leu, depe malurile îngîmfate ale Iordanului împotriva locuinţei tale tari; deodată îi voi izgoni de acolo, şi voi pune peste ei pe acela, pe care l-am ales. Căci cine este ca Mine? Cine-Mi va porunci? Şi care căpetenie Îmi va sta împotrivă?``

Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the strong habitation; but I will rest and will make him run from upon her; and he who shall be chosen I will appoint over her. For who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
