H eruvimii erau cu aripile întinse deasupra, acoperind capacul ispăşirii cu aripile lor, şi uitîndu-se unul la altul. Heruvimii stăteau cu faţa întoarsă spre capacul ispăşirii.

The cherubim had their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward each other; the faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy seat.
