Î n fiecare ţinut unde ajungea porunca împăratului şi hotărîrea lui, a fost o mare jale printre Iudei; posteau, plîngeau şi se boceau, şi mulţi se culcau în sac şi cenuşă.

And in every province, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.
