D in ziua cînd m'a pus împăratul dregător peste ei în ţara lui Iuda, dela al douăzecilea an pînă la al treizeci şi doilea an al împăratului Artaxerxe, timp de doisprezece ani, nici eu, nici fraţii mei n'am trăit din veniturile cuvenite dregătorului.

Also, in the twelve years after I was chosen to be their ruler in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year to the thirty-second year of King Artaxerxes, I and my brothers did not eat the food allowed to the ruler.
