M alchia, fiul lui Recab, mai marele peste ţinutul Bet-Hacheremului, a dres poarta gunoiului. A zidit -o, şi i -a pus uşile, încuietorile şi zăvoarele.

Malchijah the son of Rechab, the leader of Beth-haccherem did the needed work on the Waste Gate. He built it and hung its doors with its iron pieces.
