p entrucă nu veniseră înaintea copiilor lui Israel cu pîne şi apă, şi pentrucă tocmiseră împotriva lor cu preţ de argint pe Balaam ca să -i blesteme. Dar Dumnezeul nostru a prefăcut blestemul în binecuvîntare.

because they have not come before the sons of Israel with bread and with water, and hire against them Balaam to revile them, and our God turneth the reviling into a blessing.
