N u credeam tot ce se zicea, pînă n'am venit şi am văzut cu ochii mei. Şi iată că nu mi s'a istorisit nici jumătate din mărirea şi înţelepciunea ta. Tu întreci faima pe care am auzit -o despre tine.

Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it; and, behold, the half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
