A tunci împăratul Roboam a trimes pe Hadoram, care era mai mare peste dări. Hadoram a fost împroşcat cu pietre de copiii lui Israel, şi a murit. Şi împăratul Roboam s'a grăbit şi s'a suit într'un car, ca să fugă la Ierusalim.

Then King Rehoboam sent Hadoram, who was in charge of revenue; but the children of Israel stoned him with stones, and he died. Therefore King Rehoboam mounted his chariot in haste to flee to Jerusalem.
