D avid, căruia au venit şi i-au dat de ştire despre cele întîmplate cu oamenii aceştia, a trimes nişte oameni înaintea lor, căci li se făcuse mare ruşine; şi împăratul a trimes să le spună:,, Rămîneţi la Ierihon pînă vă va creşte barba, şi apoi să vă întoarceţi.``

Then certain persons went and told David about the men. And he sent to meet them, for the men were greatly humiliated. And the king said, “ Stay at Jericho until your beards grow, and then return.”
