B enaia, fiul lui Iehoiada, fiul unui om din Cabţeel, om viteaz şi vestit prin faptele lui mari. El a ucis pe cei doi fii ai lui Ariel din Moab. S'a pogorît în mijlocul unei gropi pentru apă unde a ucis un leu, într'o zi cînd căzuse zăpadă.

Benaiah was the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man from Kabzeel, who had done many deeds. He had killed two lion-like heroes of Moab. He also had gone down and killed a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day.
