E sau a prins ură pe Iacov, din pricina binecuvîntării, cu care -l binecuvîntase tatăl său. Şi Esau zicea în inima sa:,, Zilele de bocet pentru tatăl meu sînt aproape, şi apoi am să ucid pe fratele meu Iacov.``

And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him. And Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand. Then will I slay my brother Jacob.
