D omnul Dumnezeu a făcut din pămînt toate fiarele cîmpului şi toate păsările cerului; şi le -a adus la om, ca să vadă cum are să le numească; şi orice nume pe care -l dădea omul fiecărei vieţuitoare, acela -i era numele.

Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.
