D essa maneira, ele nos deu as suas grandiosas e preciosas promessas, para que por elas vocês se tornassem participantes da natureza divina e fugissem da corrupção que há no mundo, causada pela cobiça.

whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these ye might be made participants of the divine nature, having fled the corruption that is in the world through lust.
