P ois eles não vieram encontrar-se com vocês com pão e água no caminho, quando vocês saíram do Egito; além disso convocaram Balaão, filho de Beor, para vir de Petor, na Mesopotâmia, para pronunciar maldição contra vocês.

because they did not meet you with bread and with water in the way when ye came forth out of Egypt and because they hired against thee Balaam, the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
