D o contrário, o vingador da vítima poderia persegui-lo enfurecido e alcançá-lo, caso a distância fosse grande demais, e poderia matá-lo, muito embora este não merecesse morrer, pois não havia inimizade entre ele e o seu próximo.

Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.
