A lguns da multidão gritavam uma coisa, outros gritavam outra; não conseguindo saber ao certo o que havia acontecido, por causa do tumulto, o comandante ordenou que Paulo fosse levado para a fortaleza.

Some in the crowd kept shouting back one thing and others something else, and since he could not ascertain the facts because of the furor, he ordered that Paul be removed to the barracks.
