E ntão Jesus disse ao que o tinha convidado: “Quando você der um banquete ou jantar, não convide seus amigos, irmãos ou parentes, nem seus vizinhos ricos; se o fizer, eles poderão também, por sua vez, convidá-lo, e assim você será recompensado.

Then said he also to him that invited him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen nor thy rich neighbours, lest they also invite thee again, and a recompense be made thee.
