A proximaram-se as filhas de Zelofeade, filho de Héfer, neto de Gileade, bisneto de Maquir, trineto de Manassés; pertencia aos clãs de Manassés, filho de José. Os nomes das suas filhas eram Maalá, Noa, Hogla, Milca e Tirza.
