E le orou ao Senhor: “ Senhor, não foi isso que eu disse quando ainda estava em casa? Foi por isso que me apressei em fugir para Társis. Eu sabia que tu és Deus misericordioso e compassivo, muito paciente, cheio de amor e que prometes castigar mas depois te arrependes.

And he prayed to the Lord and said, I pray You, O Lord, is not this just what I said when I was still in my country? That is why I fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness, and You revoke the evil against them.
