T odos os judeus que estavam em Moabe, em Amom, em Edom e em todas as outras terras ouviram que o rei da Babilônia tinha deixado um remanescente em Judá, e que havia nomeado Gedalias, filho de Aicam, neto de Safã, governador sobre eles.
