“ Jonadabe, filho de Recabe, ordenou a seus filhos que não bebessem vinho, e essa ordem tem sido obedecida até hoje. Eles não bebem vinho porque obedecem à ordem do seu antepassado. Mas eu tenho falado a vocês repetidas vezes, e, contudo, vocês não me obedecem.

The command which Jonadab son of Rechab gave to his sons not to drink wine, has been carried out and established. To this day they drink no wine, but they have obeyed their father’s command. But I, even I, have persistently spoken to you, but you have not listened to and obeyed Me.
