M as aquele que sacrifica um boi é como quem mata um homem; aquele que sacrifica um cordeiro, é como quem quebra o pescoço de um cachorro; aquele que faz oferta de cereal é como quem apresenta sangue de porco, e aquele que queima incenso memorial, é como quem adora um ídolo. Eles escolheram os seus caminhos, e suas almas têm prazer em suas práticas detestáveis.

He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
